Lluvia de peces
Any of you planning on travelling to Honduras?
If you are, plan on going to the Departamento de Yoro sometime in May, June or July and try to catch the Lluvia de peces.
This is a unique phenomenon that has apparently be happening once or twice every year for about a century. Witnesses claim that after a big rainstorm that lasts about 2 to 3 hours, hundreds of small, living freshwater fish are found on the ground. Locals eat them.
This phenomenon apparently has no meteorological explanation, and is said to be a miracle of a local priest.
